Where to stay

Binghamton University dormitory rooms for 150 people are available: there are 70 single rooms ($40) and 40 double rooms ($35/person) reserved in Marcy at the Mountainview College Residential Halls at SUNY at Binghamton for your stay on Wed, June 25th.

Please note that Binghamton dormitory has been changed to Marcy from Cascade in Mountainview Residential Hall due to unexpected renovation in Cascade that will not be completed before your arrival. The buildings are the same and have the same amenities.

You can make a reservation for a BU dorm room when you pre-register online here.

If you are interested in staying off-campus, the following two hotels are blocked for ICKL participants until 5/25.

How to get to Binghamton University

Airplane

Ground Transportation

  • For bus service, please visit Greyhound, Shortline, or Trailways. The Greater Binghamton bus station is located at 81 Chenango St., Binghamton with buses departing regularly. 
  • The bus fare from NYC to Binghamton is $37.50 for one-way and $75 for round-trip (Shortline).

Driving Directions to Binghamton University

  • Binghamton University is located one mile west of the city of Binghamton and is a short drive from major urban centers in New York and neighboring states.
  • The University is 45 miles (about 1 hour) from Ithaca, 70 miles (about 1 1/2 hours) from Syracuse, 190 miles (about 3 hours) from Philadelphia, and 200 miles (about 3 hours) from New York City. Approximate driving time from Albany is 2 1/2 hours, 3 hours from Rochester, 4 1/2 hours from Buffalo.

Parking on Campus

  • Visitors to campus Monday through Friday (including holidays) may purchase a visitor parking permit or park at the parking garage, visitors paid lot or at a parking meter. Visitor parking permits for the surface lots are available for $5 per day. Parking from 5 p.m. Friday until midnight Sunday is free. Visit here for details.
